How to become a Handyman
In order to become a handyman, you will need to meet certain requirements. Handymen are usually required to have a high school diploma and training in a variety of different areas that may include woodwork, electrical repair, carpentry, and more. Many handymen learn these skills in a trade or technical school while others learn handyman services at community colleges. While a degree is not required, employers typically look for handymen with a bit of experience or training. Other requirements may include physical strength, work ethics, customer service skills, driver’s license, and communication skills.
If you want to do electrical or plumbing work, you will need extra training and either an electrician or plumbing license for these.
